Here’s how to celebrate Macadamia Nut Day this weekend

Macadamia Nut Day is on this Sunday, 4 September. Healthy and delicious, macadamias are an integral part of the Australian story and a product of which we can all be proud. #MacadamiaNutDay celebrates this, and more.

There are several activities happening across Australia this weekend, so get your tastebuds ready and get involved!

Three Blue Ducks limited edition macadamia palmier

Chef Darren Robertson and restaurant group Three Blue Ducks are releasing a limited edition Macadamia, Miso & Chocolate Palmier in celebration of Macadamia Nut Day this weekend. 

This nutty, chocolatey and slightly savoury flaky treat will pair perfectly with your morning coffee. Macadamias are baked throughout the palmier to showcase their buttery creaminess and little chunks are added for extra crunch.

The exclusive macadamia palmier will be available for purchase across the weekend of 3 & 4 September only from:

Sample Food Festival

Sample Food Festival, a taste of Northern NSW takes place on Saturday 3 September at Bangalow Showgrounds 1 Market Street Bangalow. 

The festival runs from 8am to 4pm with $5 and $10 tasting plates from the region’s top restaurants.

One of those $5 tasting plates will be the exclusive Macadamia, Miso & Chocolate Palmier. So head to the Three Blue Ducks stall on Saturday for this moreish pastry.

Your chance to win for Macadamia Nut Day

Win a kilo of your favourite macadamias

In celebration of Macadamia Nut Day we are giving you the chance to win a kilo of your favourite macadamias. Are your favourites roasted and salted, chocolate coated, raw or something else?

Bake the macadamia miso & chocolate palmier at home

If you can’t make it to Three Blue Ducks or Sample Food Festival to try the exclusive pastry, never fear. Chef Darren Robertson of Three Blue Ducks has shared his recipe for the macadamia palmier with us.

The versatility and richness of native macadamia nuts provides both texture and flavour as the macadamias are baked throughout the palmier to showcase their buttery creaminess and little chunks are added for extra crunch.
