From cracked to packed in less than 24 hours!
In Australia, macadamia harvest typically runs from March through to August each year. As harvest season begins to wind down, we look at the next step in the process.
On arrival, the nut is lightly dried in its shell. It is then cracked and the creamy kernel is gently separated from the hard shell.
Nothing is wasted with the valuable shell being used for many things (including powering the processor) and the beautiful kernel that you recognise and love is sorted then packaged up, ready to be sent to you!
