Graham Wessling

Graham grew up on a farm in the South Burnett region of Queensland where his family farmed goat dairy, beef cattle and cropped lucerne and sorghum. He left home at 17 years of age to work on large cattle properties in central Australia. While working as head stockman on a 150,000 hectare property in western Queensland he met his future wife, whose father (Kim Wilson) is a renowned Australian macadamia grower and manager, and one of the world’s leading macadamia experts.

Graham worked on a large macadamia plantation in Clunes before moving to Mackay where he managed the town’s first two large-scale, high-density macadamia orchards and a 100,000 tree nursery. He has also worked for a large consortium in Mexico, overseeing their macadamia division (orchards, nursery and processing factory) and travelled the country in search of new land to plant macadamias. Graham has an associate degree of horticulture management and now lives with his wife and two children in the beautiful Northern Rivers, where he is the farm manager for Macadamia Farm Management.
