Macadamia and chocolate biscotti

Macadamia and chocolate biscotti

This recipe was created by dietitian and nutritionist Susie Burrell.
Makes 24 biscuits.

INGREDIENTS

3 cups flour, sifted

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup sugar (or sugar alternative)

1 cup macadamias, chopped

1/2 cup chocolate bits

50g butter

3 eggs (two beaten and one for brushing)

METHOD
Combine wet and dry ingredients. 
Kneed biscuit dough into log shape (use extra flour needed to combine mix). 
Bake logs at 180 degrees for 30-40min until browned.
Allow to fully cool then slice into thin pieces and re-bake at 150 degrees for 20min until lightly browned.
