There are a variety of specialist nut crackers available to use or you can just try using a good old hammer or rock! Watch this video for tips on cracking your macadamias. Whichever method you choose, it makes things easier if you look for the white dot on the shell. Called the micropyle by growers, this is known to be a weak spot as the shell is thinner here and the nut it is much easier to crack if you target this point when cracking your nut.
