Dessert anyone - Repost from @thecordonykitchen - The easiest little dessert you can make. You can do them the day before and top them when ready to serve. They are refined sugar free, naturally flavoured and will definitely impress 👌🏽
RECIPE: Mint choc cream’s - makes 4
INGREDIENTS:
500ml pouring cream
1/2 cup chocolate mint leaves (from a chocolate mint plant) or regular mint leaves.
1 tablespoon Cocoa powder sifted (or 60g of 85% dark chocolate)
1 teaspoon of raw honey @hiveandhoneycombapiary
Toppings- use any berry/nuts/powders etc
I used:
1/2 teaspoon açai powder
12 x Macadamia’s toasted and roughly chopped.
16 x Raspberries
METHOD:
1. Put the cream, chocolate mint and cocoa into a saucepan on medium heat and just bring to a gentle boil. 2. Stir and simmer for 2 minutes. Leave to cool.
3. Pour through a sieve to leave behind herbs
4. Stir in honey and spoon evenly into 4 small glasses of your choice. 5. Place in fridge for 10 minutes to set.
6. Top with whatever you have available. My mint choc creams were with raspberries, toasted macadamia’s and açai powder. .
NOTE: this is a rich dessert so 1 part chocolate and 2 parts topping. Chocolate mint is such an amazing herb. Really easy to grow but must be contained in a pot. It goes a bit crazy if planted into the ground. It’s great as a tea, making ice cream or you can dehydrate it.
